my two page layout for May 23 - 29, 2010

My layout for last week. I really rushed this. I'm busy with my Art of Digital Design class and spending all my Digi Time working on my kit. I didn't want to get behind, so I threw this one together tonight. A bit busy for my taste.

Day 151, 2010

I was on my way to target, when I had to stop for this family that needed to cross the street. I quickly grabbed my cell phone and snapped a couple photos while they made their way. LOL

Day 150, 2010

Hi, My name is Daisy, or Daisy May, cause all girls need a cute middle name. My new mommy picked me out today, but I'm only four weeks old (born May 1), so I can't go live with them yet. My current owners promised to send lots of pictures until I'm big enough to leave my doggie mom.

Here it is... he's receiving his diploma... he's official!!! I made it with just a few tears... I just looked at his face and how excited he was and the sorrow turned to joy... he is such a good son, friend and brother.

Day 149, 2010

This is it! My baby boy graduates in a couple of hours. I can't believe it. I'm so incredibly proud of him. I will post more pictures later (from the ceremony), but I couldn't wait to share this day with everyone. I didn't get any pictures with Ashlea because she's working until noon (ceremony at 1:00)... so we'll have to get those afterward.

Here's the funny part. The entire baseball team is sporting Mohawks until they lose in Sectionals (we play tonight at 7:00)... so under that cap... look at what he's got going on!?!? LOL. At least you can't see it with his cap!

Thanks for looking. I'm so filled with emotion, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. :) :(

Day 148, 2010

I've had a Blackberry phone for what feels like forever. I was determined I would not get a new phone until Verizon came out with the IPHONE... well my Blackberry started just randomly shutting itself off every once in awhile and now lately it's been doing it 3-4 times a day. I don't get messages half the time, and who knows what else I lose when it decides to take a nap. I decided to do a little googling and see what my options were. I ended up with this the "Droid Incredible", which as far as most internet reviews go is better / faster than the Iphone. It's supposed to be the fastest phone in the world. It was just released on April 29th and was backordered due to high demand. It arrived today, so far I'm loving it, but a bit of a learning curve. Bye bye Blackberry.... hello Mr. Incredible! :) I'm sure as soon as my 30 days are up Verizon will announce "We now carry the IPHONE!"

Day 147, 2010

The boys are in Sectionals now. If we lost this game this would be Alex's Final Game (he's not playing in college)... however.... we WON.. 9 to 2. Sooooo, now we play Saturday. Yes, that's right... graduation at 1:00 and Sectional game was supposed to be a 4:00, but now they changed it and we play at 7:00. The boys have to be on the field at 3:45.... so much for celebration time. By the way, Alex is #2 in the picture. We sat in chairs on the 3rd base line, so it was hard to get close ups of the players on the field with my purse camera.

Day 146, 2010

Today is Cap and Gown day.... :'(..... :) My baby. OK... let me just say.. he is NOT a morning person.. and very much NOT a morning picture person... ! lol I promise, Saturday's grad photos will be much nicer in the cap and gown. All the seniors today will wear their gowns.. I think it's so neat.

Decided at the last minute to do the Jessica Sprague art of Digital Design class, which requires the use of the full version of Photoshop, not Photoshop Elements... so I spent the night trying to power learn my way through Photoshop CS5... Oy Vey... relearning everything. I really should have thought about it sooner, but I didn't so I'm cramming for a test.

I realize I'm a few photos behind. I've got them, just haven't uploaded them yet. :)

We found out at the last minute that Wendy, a classmate of ours, was going to be in town on Friday, so a group of us got together and visited at the Argos Bar and Grill. We had a good time. My favorite was Wendy singing Karaoke "The Devil went down to Georgia"... or maybe it was when we all sang Prince and she (Wendy).. did the Prince move where he layed on the floor and well starting doing things to the floor! LOL It was really fun. This was the first time Doug ever joined me on one of these mini reunions. He said he had fun.

This is a photo taken in the woods where we Mushroom hunted.. (though the season is done).. I kind of like the way this turned out.

With all the mess in the front yard, I am loving the blooming beauty in the backyard. Here is our (I'll fill the name is later, it escapes me right now... starts with a C?)... man I'm getting old lol... I think they are so neat....... COLUMBINE>>> that's what it is! LOL

I'm a little late getting this posted. This is a picture of Ashlea sitting at the desk plowing her fields in Farmville. I do not understand the attraction to this game whatsoever. I tried it for a few days and "didn't get it". Apparently I'm alone in my way of thinking because practically everyone I know is addicted to Farmville.

Thought I'd show you the latest "IMPROVEMENTS" to my yard and road! Found out the estimated completion date for this project.... NOVEMBER 17TH!!!!!!!!! HELP! My car looks like a hummer from desert storm, it's soooo dirty from all the mess....(no, I don't have a hummer, I have a Honda Pilot).

Day 138, 2010

This is my dear friend, Mindy. She came over last night to have me help her with a video project. While we were waiting for the video to process, we started playing with Photobooth... and I tell you what.. no one makes me laugh more than Mindy. We just have the best time together, we giggle like little girls. Ashlea was watching us and even she was tearing up we were laughing so hard.

Day 137, 2010

My future son-in-law graduated from college last Saturday and this past Saturday he had his graduation party. I never posted the picture of him in his cap and gown with Ashlea (Richie's mom took this photo prior to the ceremony I swiped it from Ashlea's Facebook page! LOL) and below that is a photo from his party. He is in a band and they played a little bit during the party. They were really good, I had never heard them play before.

Day 136, 2010

Spent the day planting flowers in the back yard. Normally we do this on Mother's Day Weekend, but our weather has not been cooperative, so we did it today. This was my favorite new variety this year. We're going with Yellows, and reds this year.

Day 135, 2010

Today was Senior Day at the baseball field. The Seniors were escorted by their parents to the field where they were announced and the announcer read a little blurb that each player wrote. My son said, "I am inspired by my mom because she works harder than anyone I know and never complains". I was so touched! He's such a good boy!
