My layout for last week. I really rushed this. I'm busy with my Art of Digital Design class and spending all my Digi Time working on my kit. I didn't want to get behind, so I threw this one together tonight. A bit busy for my taste.

Day 151, 2010

I was on my way to target, when I had to stop for this family that needed to cross the street. I quickly grabbed my cell phone and snapped a couple photos while they made their way. LOL

Day 150, 2010

Hi, My name is Daisy, or Daisy May, cause all girls need a cute middle name. My new mommy picked me out today, but I'm only four weeks old (born May 1), so I can't go live with them yet. My current owners promised to send lots of pictures until I'm big enough to leave my doggie mom.

My week layout for May 30-31, 2010

I'm catching up. I quit doing my weekly digi layouts. Here's the last one for May. For those who know about the class I've been taking, this is a sneak preview at my kit. I made all of the papers and elements on this page. I wanted to try them out and see how they looked on an actual layout.

Here it is... he's receiving his diploma... he's official!!! I made it with just a few tears... I just looked at his face and how excited he was and the sorrow turned to joy... he is such a good son, friend and brother.

Day 149, 2010

This is it! My baby boy graduates in a couple of hours. I can't believe it. I'm so incredibly proud of him. I will post more pictures later (from the ceremony), but I couldn't wait to share this day with everyone. I didn't get any pictures with Ashlea because she's working until noon (ceremony at 1:00)... so we'll have to get those afterward.

Here's the funny part. The entire baseball team is sporting Mohawks until they lose in Sectionals (we play tonight at 7:00)... so under that cap... look at what he's got going on!?!? LOL. At least you can't see it with his cap!

Thanks for looking. I'm so filled with emotion, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. :) :(

Day 148, 2010

I've had a Blackberry phone for what feels like forever. I was determined I would not get a new phone until Verizon came out with the IPHONE... well my Blackberry started just randomly shutting itself off every once in awhile and now lately it's been doing it 3-4 times a day. I don't get messages half the time, and who knows what else I lose when it decides to take a nap. I decided to do a little googling and see what my options were. I ended up with this the "Droid Incredible", which as far as most internet reviews go is better / faster than the Iphone. It's supposed to be the fastest phone in the world. It was just released on April 29th and was backordered due to high demand. It arrived today, so far I'm loving it, but a bit of a learning curve. Bye bye Blackberry.... hello Mr. Incredible! :) I'm sure as soon as my 30 days are up Verizon will announce "We now carry the IPHONE!"

Day 147, 2010

The boys are in Sectionals now. If we lost this game this would be Alex's Final Game (he's not playing in college)... however.... we WON.. 9 to 2. Sooooo, now we play Saturday. Yes, that's right... graduation at 1:00 and Sectional game was supposed to be a 4:00, but now they changed it and we play at 7:00. The boys have to be on the field at 3:45.... so much for celebration time. By the way, Alex is #2 in the picture. We sat in chairs on the 3rd base line, so it was hard to get close ups of the players on the field with my purse camera.

Day 146, 2010

Today is Cap and Gown day.... :'(..... :) My baby. OK... let me just say.. he is NOT a morning person.. and very much NOT a morning picture person... ! lol I promise, Saturday's grad photos will be much nicer in the cap and gown. All the seniors today will wear their gowns.. I think it's so neat.

Decided at the last minute to do the Jessica Sprague art of Digital Design class, which requires the use of the full version of Photoshop, not Photoshop Elements... so I spent the night trying to power learn my way through Photoshop CS5... Oy Vey... relearning everything. I really should have thought about it sooner, but I didn't so I'm cramming for a test.

I realize I'm a few photos behind. I've got them, just haven't uploaded them yet. :)

We found out at the last minute that Wendy, a classmate of ours, was going to be in town on Friday, so a group of us got together and visited at the Argos Bar and Grill. We had a good time. My favorite was Wendy singing Karaoke "The Devil went down to Georgia"... or maybe it was when we all sang Prince and she (Wendy).. did the Prince move where he layed on the floor and well starting doing things to the floor! LOL It was really fun. This was the first time Doug ever joined me on one of these mini reunions. He said he had fun.

This is a photo taken in the woods where we Mushroom hunted.. (though the season is done).. I kind of like the way this turned out.

With all the mess in the front yard, I am loving the blooming beauty in the backyard. Here is our (I'll fill the name is later, it escapes me right now... starts with a C?)... man I'm getting old lol... I think they are so neat....... COLUMBINE>>> that's what it is! LOL

I'm a little late getting this posted. This is a picture of Ashlea sitting at the desk plowing her fields in Farmville. I do not understand the attraction to this game whatsoever. I tried it for a few days and "didn't get it". Apparently I'm alone in my way of thinking because practically everyone I know is addicted to Farmville.

Thought I'd show you the latest "IMPROVEMENTS" to my yard and road! Found out the estimated completion date for this project.... NOVEMBER 17TH!!!!!!!!! HELP! My car looks like a hummer from desert storm, it's soooo dirty from all the mess....(no, I don't have a hummer, I have a Honda Pilot).

This is my dear friend, Mindy. She came over last night to have me help her with a video project. While we were waiting for the video to process, we started playing with Photobooth... and I tell you what.. no one makes me laugh more than Mindy. We just have the best time together, we giggle like little girls. Ashlea was watching us and even she was tearing up we were laughing so hard.

My future son-in-law graduated from college last Saturday and this past Saturday he had his graduation party. I never posted the picture of him in his cap and gown with Ashlea (Richie's mom took this photo prior to the ceremony I swiped it from Ashlea's Facebook page! LOL) and below that is a photo from his party. He is in a band and they played a little bit during the party. They were really good, I had never heard them play before.

Spent the day planting flowers in the back yard. Normally we do this on Mother's Day Weekend, but our weather has not been cooperative, so we did it today. This was my favorite new variety this year. We're going with Yellows, and reds this year.

I am totally being lazy this week. I used a Jessica Sprague template and just modified it a little to add another photo and swapped out her title. Not crazy about this, but I've been in the paper crafting mode this week and digi kind of got put on the back burner this week.

Day 135, 2010

Today was Senior Day at the baseball field. The Seniors were escorted by their parents to the field where they were announced and the announcer read a little blurb that each player wrote. My son said, "I am inspired by my mom because she works harder than anyone I know and never complains". I was so touched! He's such a good boy!

I know you don't want to hear that today when I came home the construction has now moved up my driveway and half my driveway is now missing (they dug up the concrete)... so since we've had photos of the construction more than once already, you get this awesome photo of Lily and Lacey sitting in the bay window... aren't they just the cutest!

I didn't technically take these photos today, but I found them today. I used the camera in my purse for taking a quick cute photo of the kitties..and when I went to upload them to my computer I found these two pictures I took of the lighting at the hotel I was at last week. I don't know what it was about this fixture, but I was so intrigued by it. lol I totally forgot that I had taken the photo.

Day 132, 2010

This is my front yard after the gas work today... wonderful. This is just the gas work. We still have sanitary, water, power, telephone, cable, etc that will all be reworked.

The above picture is my road... nice, eh?!!? They took all the pavement off last Saturday.. talk about a bumpy ride! I took this picture standing at the end of my driveway. This is the way to work, school, grocery...everywhere!

I came home from work today to no gas. I told you earlier that they are widening our road, well today they had to shut the gas off (Call me crazy, but I would think they would notify the homeowners in advance that they were going to do this?!?!... just a thought?!?!?) When I got home there's a note on the door "Your gas has been shut off due to work on the gas lines in your local area... please cal 1-800 xxx xxxx and we will send a service tech to your location as soon possible to turn the gas back on"... WHAT!?!?!? It's 55 degrees here today, so needless to say the house was cold...(gas furnace) so I think.. I'll take a hot bath and warm up... as I'm walking to the bathroom I think... wait GAS hot water heater... better not do that. OK... well, I'll get dinner started.... a few steps... GAS Stove, Gas Grill.....I end up eating take out. The Gas Company did show up and turn the gas back on, they have to come inside and test all your applicances and furnace to make sure there's no air in the line and your pilot lights....so anyway it's warm now.. Oh and look at the lovely front yard now!!! Did I mention it's been raining all day?!? Guess I'll pass on the carwash for the next month! Oy Vey.... they say this project is going to take ALL summer. They are increasing from two lanes to four, adding sidewalks, curbs and a bike lane. I'm sure you'll get updates often, I'm already tired of it! LOL

Day 131, 2010

Alex's game got cancelled tonight (raining) which is a good thing.. he's been sick and needed the rest, here he is with his graduation present (His new Mac) and he's multi-tasking texting on his phone. Amazing how kids have so much to say when they are typing on their phones!

Every night we try and round up the three cats and make sure they are inside. Lacey and Izzy usually are easily coaxed with treats.. .but Lily is about as stubborn as the day is long... here she is after tonight's attempt at a roundup. This is the shed in the back corner of the yard and she just looks at us when we call her. I swear I can hear... Na Na Na na BOOOO boooo... (Dang cat!)

Day 130, 2010

Doesn't everyone have a telephone pole laying in their front yard?!?!? They are in the process of widening the road in front of my house (Yes, that's a road with no pavement...just lovely)... and apparently that is going to involve a new telephone pole... they are in every front yard on my side of the street. Hope they clean up the big hole they dug for the new power lines. I have a feeling it's going to be a long summer.

Happy Mother's Day, Everyone!

My POTD is my Salad In A Bowl that I got today. I think this is just the cutest thing. It's a planter made of various types of lettuce, chives, basil, parsley, etc. Doug said, "now when you pull the lettuce off start from the outside and work in".. of course I replied.. "We're not going to EAT it!!!?!?!" LOL

Day 128, 2010

I've been taking a class on photo restoration over at Jessica Sprague. I'm so excited about this as I have boxes and boxes of photos from my mom and even when my kids were little (pre-digital...remember that?!!? LOL). Anyway. This photo is only partially done as I haven't finished the class yet, but I'm amazed at what's been brought back to the photo already.
