The painters are here starting today for the entire week. They are removing what is left of old wallpaper that I've wanted to get rid of forever. I forgot to take a total before shot, but here's one wall they've removed (THERE WERE THREE LAYERS!).. and you can see the old paper going up the stairs.. that's also coming down. Can't wait to see the finale.
Carol, I have done all the other wallpaper removal/painting in the house. I just didn't want to mess with this because I knew it was going to be a mess in this particular area. There were three coats of paper, one coat of oil base and another coat of latex to deal with. It was a mess and it's the focal spot when you open the front door, I was afraid I'd make a bigger mess.
That's a job taking down wall paper, or that's what I have heard.. I have some in the kitchen I would love to have taken down.
